Pagoda, tower common in
Buddhist temples. Pagodas have 1 to 13 stories, each with a distinctive projecting roof.
They are used as shrines, memorials, and tombs. Probably the largest and most spectacular
surviving pagoda is the Shwe Dagon of Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon), Myanmar
(formerly known as Burma).
The Great Wall was built 2,500 years ago.
It is one of the most spectacular architectures and fortifications of ancient China. (see attractions)
